Choosing a Blogsite Name

Get a piece of paper and a glass of wine. Now brainstorm. You can short-row, right? You are creative, correct? Jot those names down. Get a dictionary & tweak some words. Make your list Long. My list was about 25 & most of them were taken. I love the name "The Village Knitiot" but it wasn't available.

With your list in hand go to 1) a search engine or 2) a domain registration (such as here). Input your names to see if they are already taken. Once you find one you can use, set up your blogsite. The blogger service will also search to see if the name is available. Here are two lists of names to get an idea of what's out there in the knitting community:

P.S. Choose your blog service provider with care & forethought. It is easy to change providers. It is harder to move your links.
